The Flag
The American Flag is more than just a piece of cloth. It represents the history of our country and the sacrifices that have been made for it. It represents the principles of our country and the responsibility we all share in our daily lives to support our communities and country. It represents the future and the obligation we have in preserving it for those who come after us.
A core value of the Boy Scouts of America is Citizenship. Volunteers across the Scouting community teach youth the importance of their Duty to Country and the responsibility each Scouter has to preserve it. And, so, the Boy Scouts of America work hard to educate youth about the history and meaning of the American Flag.
The Over-the-Hill-Gang is eager to teach every unit proper flag etiquette. You can sign up here.
Units across the country recognize the importance of the flag during this Star-Spangled Season.
