Mission:
The mission of Camp Norse Co-op is to create a program where enrichment fuels success and a love of learning is nurtured while childhood is preserved. We believe that play fuels children’s personal growth, and our program culture includes time in nature, developing relationships, recreation, cooking, and exercise. Our whole child approach includes social-emotional, Project Based, and hands-on learning experiences.
We look forward to working with you and your child to rediscover the magic of childhood, expand the definition of learning, and reconnect as part of a community that feels like family.
What to look forward to:
We spend as much time outside as we can, exploring and experimenting while also allowing time for free play and making and cultivating friendships. Our day typically starts with a hike in a different area of our 325-wooded-acre campus. Recess/free time is provided at lunch and snack times during the day.
Educational exploration through a mix of hands-on activities and creative writing. Our weekly schedule for Tuesday specials includes Cooking, journaling, and Art. On Wednesdays we have our Boy Scouts of America Outdoor Skills instructors incorporating new projects from Animal and Natural Sciences to STEAM, or Archery, BB Guns at the range and Climbing on our Bouldering Wall. Thursday is our STEM Workshop where students work on long-term individual or collaborative projects in a wide range of subjects.

Staff:
| Christina Robertson- Camp Norse Co-op Program Lead Ms. Christina holds a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Montserrat College of Art which led her to teaching. Starting in the classroom as a Teacher's Assistant and substitute at St. Mary’s School while attending college, she continued working with children as the Childcare Coordinator for the YMCA and also ran several summer and extracurricular programs while there. After moving into her forever home with her family, Ms. Christina started and taught for her own Paint Party company while giving back to the community by running several large-scale fundraising events. Her clients were Boston Children’s Hospital, Save-a-Lab Rescue, Susan G Koman 3-Day, and Samaritans 5k to name a few. Today she is well known as the Girl Scouts Service Unit Coordinator for the Town of Carver and a Leader for a multilevel troop in town. Her years of classroom teaching experience, decades of working with children, teaching classes, and collaborating with community leaders have brought enrichment to the Camp Norse Co-Op. |
| Liz Kenney- Camp Norse Co-Op Program Assistant Hello Camp Norse Co-op Families! My name is Liz Kenney and I’m thrilled to be joining the team this year! A little bit about me; I’m both a homeschool mom and educator, passionate about creating engaging, dynamic and authentic learning experiences. With an undergraduate degree in art and a master’s degree in education along with years of experience as a classroom teacher and private tutor, I have guided learners of all ages, abilities and backgrounds from preschool to senior citizens. My goal as an educator is to foster a love for exploration and discovery in others that will last a lifetime. I believe in authentic inquiry based learning that fosters natural curiosity and encourages students of all ages to ask questions, seek answers, and engage deeply with the world around them. I especially enjoy teaching in nature because it transforms learning into an immersive experience, an adventure, where lessons come alive, engaging young learners more deeply while fostering a sense of wonder and curiosity. Outside of the classroom, I cherish spending time with my family and friends from kayaking Lake Winnipesaukee to nature walks, to playing in our yard with our dogs. We love having fun together. Spending time with my family outside creates moments of connection and discovery, allowing us to bond while exploring and appreciating the beauty of the world around us. As a homeschool family we the love the flexibility it allows us to create learning experiences that nurture curiosity and creativity while strengthening our family bonds. I am excited for a fun and rewarding year ahead at Camp Norse Co-op And look forward to supporting your family on your homeschooling journey! |
