Virtual Art Merit Badge
What: Scouts working on the Art merit badge learn to express themselves using media such as pen and ink, watercolors, pencils, pastels, oil paints, and more. This merit badge focuses on two-dimensional art.
Meet your Counselor - Beatris Bogomilova has been an artist her entire life. She started drawing and painting at a very young age, and her great grandmother was very encouraging of it, which pushed Beatris to do better every time. Today, she is a freelance artist who ensures every new piece is her absolute favorite. Her main medium is woodburning, which requires a very steady hand and an artistic eye. She has also worked with acrylic paint, watercolour paint and pencils, soft pastel, charcoal, pottery, digital artwork, graphic design, 3D modeling and more. Beatris won the 'Proficiency Art Award' (highest mark) in her graduating high school class and kept her artistic side developing through University while studying Architecture. Beatris also loves to work with kids of any age.
WHO: Open to all Scouts BSA members.
