Meet your Counselor - Mark Timperley is a Senior Software Engineer (Senior Principal Architect) with Schneider Electric. He has over 20 years of experience in software development for Distributed Control Systems. Mark earned degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (URI ‘92). He is a committee Member of Troop 2 East Greenwich and Merit Badge Counselor (taught both Electricity and Electronics Merit Badge at the 2010 Jamboree at Fort AP Hill in Virginia). Former Star Scout 1982.

WHO: Open to all Scouts BSA members.
HOW: The Programming Merit Badge will be taught in a virtual classroom. The class has a capacity of 12 Scouts. Small classroom size provides all students with the opportunity to share and interact with the counselors and other Scouts. Scouts should be prepared to be challenged and to join the conversation! Participants who do not engage with the class may not receive credit for the badge.
WHEN: This class will be held virtually over three sessions:
April 10, 2020 5:00PM-6:30PM
April 17, 2020 5:00PM-6:30PM
April 24, 2020 5:00PM-6:30PM
Scouts must attend all three sessions to complete the offered requirements.
After registering, Scouts will receive a link and login information via email. Scouts will also receive instructor details that can be used to connect to the counselor on Scoutbook. This assures that completed requirements are easily recorded.
