Camp Yawgoog

Yawgoog is the premier Scout Summer Camp in the northeast. When not in operation as a summer camp, Yawgoog has many off-season facilities that bring you back to the camp you love! In the off-season there are cabins, adirondack lean-tos, tent sites, and many acres of hiking trails. Yawgoog is available for camping reservations from September through mid-April.

General Information

Parking: Please Park your vehicles in the Ranger Lot or Tim O'Neil Field.

Campmasters: Upon arrival at Camp please check in with the Campmasters.  The Campmaster Office is located on the first floor of the Bucklin Building.

Fire ban info: Annual fire ban in effect March 15 - May 15. No open flames of any kind including charcoal between 10:00AM and 5:00PM.

Firewood: The cabins have propane heaters. Slab wood is available for tent sites.

Trading Post: The trading post is open from 12:00PM to 8:00PM on Saturdays

Phillips Island Adventure

  • Experience Phillips Island
  • Available to troops and crews
  • Spend Friday evening in Adirondacks at Campsite Dan Boone
  • Depart on Saturday morning from Sandy Beach waterfront for Philips Island by canoe.
  • Spend Saturday evening on Phillips Island
  • Return on Sunday morning
  • Island Campsite includes porta potty, fire ring and picnic table
  • Water is not available on the island
  • Boats are not allowed on the pond between sunset and sunrise.
  • Swimming is not allowed.
  • Canoes, paddles and, PFD's are included with this reservation.
  • $100- Adventure Card, $200-Non- Adventure card

Canoe rentals 

  • Each rack Includes 6 Canoes, PFD's and paddles.
  • Canoes are for use on Yawgoog Pond only.
  • Trailers cannot be moved
  • Available for troops and crews only.
  • Rental provides usage from Saturday-Sunday (noon checkout)
  • Swimming is not allowed
  • Boats are not allowed on the pond between sunset and sunrise.
  • $100.00- Adventure Card, $150-Non-Adventure Card

Campcraft Pavilions and Tent Site

  • Overnight camping in the adjacent Lewis Clark site
  • Capacity- 28 in Adirondacks with room for additional tents
  • 7 Adirondacks sleep 4 each in stretcher bunks.
  • Pavillions include 4 buildings with electricity and picnic tables
  • Propane stove/oven included in pavillions
  • Refrigerator included in pavilion.
  • Water on site through October. Available from Bucklin remaining months
  • Picnic tables and fire pit on site
  • Flush toilets are available through October, and porta-potties are on-site for the remaining months. Bathrooms are available at the Bucklin building year-round.
  • Basketball court and sports field adjacent to site
  • Parking in Sandy Beach Lot
  • $100 Adventure card $150 Non-Adventure card (Out of Council)

Anderson Shelter and Tent Site (Archery Range)

  • No Sleeping in Shelter
  • Space for 30 tents
  • Water available at Bucklin
  • Porta Jons on site
  • Fire Pit and Picnic tables available in the site
  • Parking is across the road from the site
  • $75 In Council $100 Out of Council

Campsite Sequan (Webelos Site)

  • For Cub Scout Packs Only (September-October, April-May)
  • Open to troops November-March
  • Capacity: 12 adults in 3 Adirondacks, 40 campers in 5 Adirondacks
  • Adirondacks include bunks
  • Restrooms: On-site September-October. Available in Bucklin Building during fall and winter.
  • Water: On-site September-October. Available in Bucklin Building during fall and winter.
  • $0- Adventure Card, $75 Non-Adventure Card

Yawgoog ATV Adventure

Learn how to safely operate an ATV and explore the Yawgoog backcountry like never before! Open for Scouts 14 and older camping with their troops. Fall 2022 dates and pricing coming soon.
